There are so many types of running shoes in the store it would be really confusing but the staff are so so helpful. Customers don't just try their shoes on - the experienced staff will get you to pop outside the shop to test run a short stretch of the pavement and watch your posture and give advice accordingly. Where is the six star button? This shop has to have THE best customer service of any shop in London, I went in to look for shoes, the process was explained, I came back later and after 30 mins of patient testing of a range of shoes bought a pair of New Balance 860 v3 shoes which are just superb. Cannot rate this place highly enough - shop nowhere else if you are into running in London (or in fact anywhere in SE England as I am from Hampshire...)

Just a quick email to say thanks for the great service I recieved today. I am fairly new to running and training for my first half marathon and Jennifer today helped me enormously. Not just correctly fitting me for new trainers but giving great advice and strength exercises to help with sore knees. I didn't feel intimidated once as I had done when I entered and soon left other well known running stores.

Knowing I'm buying shoes that actually work for me is a great plus. I bought a new pair of running trainers on Monday and like every other occasion I have come to the shop over the past 11 years, the service was excellent. It is so common nowadays to get bad service that you become used to it. Therefore it is refreshing to come to your shop and know that the service will always be impeccable, which is why I always recommend people go to you to buy their running trainers. I was served by a lovely young lady called Gemma who was not only knowledgeable, informative and extremely helpful she was very friendly too and it was very nice to chat to her. As Manager of a gym myself I know what it is like to work in the service industry and not feel like your efforts are appreciated so please could you pass on my thanks and gratitude to Gemma for doing such a great job for me. i went into your cardiff store on thursday to buy some new running shoes and was served by Becky Xerri what a wonderful lady extremely polite and very very helpful, while i was there i was telling her i had been to the doctor because of my knees (i have only been running for 4 months) the doctor had advised ibuprofen pain killers and an xray, i told becky about this and she advised me to try flaxseed oil which i bought immediately and in 3 days i have only had very slight pain once, she knows what she is talking about, so please can you tell becky i have wrote to you about her, im sure all your staff gives the same excellent service they deserve a bonus...thank you, sarah

Just bought a new pair of running shoes at R&B. This is the third or fourth pair I've bought there and it is always such a pleasure. Its your staff that make the difference - they are brilliant! I passed by you shop by accident. I am a triathlete and generally buy my running shoes and equipment from Runners Need or from branded shops like Nike. I have to say, I was blown away by the customer service and attention to detail within the London store. The staff are very friendly and well qualified and their natural gait analysis is superb as opposed to being placed on treadmill by people that do not have in depth knowledge.

This is to say with gratitude that the service, advice and assistance I was given yesterday in your London shop was outstanding. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the girl who patiently and without any pressure attended to me but she was excellent. I bought a pair of Brooks (for over pronating) and ran in them today and am most pleased - no blisters, no problems, great shoes. Luckily a friend recommended your store to me after a frustrating trek around 4 other known ones. So good work to the whole team and I'll definitely make the trip to London again after the summer to see how my gait's going and to purchase any other needed gear. I live in Northern Thailand where my choice of Running shoes is fairly limited and I have been dreaming about visiting your shop in Victoria for a very long time. I went to the Victoria shop and was served by Jennifer. What an absolute delight to have been helped by such a knowledgeable and charming person. I am writing to praise the service I received in your Palmer Street store today. I am a notoriously difficult customer, as I have flat feet and wear orthotics in my shoes. I must have been there for about an hour, at the end of a very hot day, yet she could not have been more helpful and informative as she ran up and down the stairs getting different pairs of trainers in different sizes for me. I always have trouble choosing a pair that feels right but she was able to offer me a lot of good advice and I eventually came away with a pair that felt really good.

We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to the Cardiff store for a great customer experience today. My son (10yrs) needed his first set of running spikes, his running club mentioned a few Stores to try including Run and Become. Living in Mid Wales there is not much choice. The places we tried closer to home in Shrewsbury were not very helpful over the phone, so we decided to give the Cardiff Run and Become store a call. I must say the lady we spoke to was most helpful and knowledgable. Consequently we decided to drive the 2 hours each way for a visit! Well what a fantastic freindly service, I think Sophie helped us today, making sure the fitment was correct etc and advised regarding the spike length. The store has a very friendly atmosphere, really positive, friendly, knowledgable staff and plenty of choice. Thanks once again. I have a very happy son :) We will be back and definitely sharing our experience with club colleagues!

I popped into the shop Saturday before last to buy some new running shoes and was incredibly impressed with the level of service. I was served by Barbora and she was polite, friendly and it was obvious that she really know what she was talking about. I ended up purchasing some Saucony shoes which I’ve used a few times now and they’ve proved to be a great choice for me.

I just want to make sure I take a little time to say thank you for your support and efforts last Saturday evening... I had just lost my bag, with my trainers and all my running gear, that I had brought with me from Edinburgh, to run the London marathon on the Sunday. Lost property not open until the Monday, and only a 1 in 4 chance of ever getting my bag and gear back... Somehow, miraculously, you managed to help kit me out in the 15mins before closing... I just want say a huge thank you for helping calm me in my moment of panic, getting me kitted out for the next day, and enabling me to run the London marathon... Yes, I did end up with 5 blisters...(the new shoes had obviously not had time to be broken in)…[but] I completed the marathon in 5 hours, 11mins and 5 seconds... I just wanted to write a quick message to thank you for your service when I visited the store a few weeks back. I sometimes write emails to complain so I thought I should write an email when the service was so good. As well as what seemed to be exceptional professional understanding (I have no idea - you could have said anything and I would have believed you) it was when you persuaded me not to go for barefoot running because of the time commitment I would need to give and how this might not fit with my current lifestyle that really showed you were a cut above. I just wanted to write and say how amazing the service that I got was at the London branch of Run and Become. I went over on my lunch hour to get new trainers and it ended up taking ages because the staff (whose names I’m sorry to say I’ve forgotten) were adamant that they wanted me to get the right pair for me.
