Asics GT-1000 13 GS is an excellent anti-pronation road running shoe for children, designed to cushion and support the feet of young runners. The new 3D Guidance System™ in the midsole stabilises the arch and guides the foot to prevent excessive rolling inward (over-pronation). In addition, the kids'-specific last is comfortable for growing feet.

Upper:
The upgraded toecap is constructed without stitching, contributing to a smooth and streamlined upper for enhanced comfort. Combined with a spacious forefoot, it ensures ample room for toe movement and a bit of growth. The secure hold around the midfoot and heel further enhances stability, providing a snug fit that helps prevent the heel or midfoot from sliding. The kids'-specific last is designed both for performance and comfort, making it the ideal choice for various running activities.
Midsole:
The new 3D Guidance System™ is designed to enhance stability and support for children’s natural foot structure, particularly focusing on the medial side under the arch. By incorporating a firmer density material, this technology helps maintain proper body alignment by preventing over-pronation, when the foot rolls inwards during running.
The soft midsole combined with Rearfoot Gel technology in the heel offers excellent cushioning and shock absorption, which is essential for reducing the impact associated with running on hard surfaces. This is particularly beneficial for children's feet, as it helps to ensure their comfort and protection of growing limbs.
Outersole:
The durable rubber on the outsole is anti- slip and non-marking.
The removable insoles have a toe print on them. With this size checker you can easily check the size of your child foot to ensure an accurate fit.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
