Description

The wide fitting of Hoka’s Arahi 7 – lightweight yet supportive and super-cushioned road running shoe – tweaked for enhanced comfort and stability. Instead of using a traditional medial post to control pronation, the Arahi features a wider base and a J Frame construction to provide stability and prevent the foot from rolling inward. The wider base under the arch ensures a stable stride pattern, while the J Frame made of denser compression CMEVA  foam that supports the foot and prevents it from collapsing inward. The improved Flat knit mesh upper is designed to offer a secure hold whilst ensuring full breathability and comfort.

Details

Ideal Use:

Road running and training, walking.

Upper:

The new Flat knit upper on the Arahi 7 offers a precise fit along with a lightweight feel. It is designed to hug your feet securely, preventing any unwanted movement or friction. Additionally, the upper is breathable, allowing for optimal airflow and reducing the risk of overheating or discomfort during your runs. The new plush tongue adds to the feeling of comfort.

Midsole:

The CMEVA cushioning technology in the midsole offers maximum comfort and impact absorption. The Early stage MetaRocker™ rocks your feet forward to encourage a smoothly roll through the stride from midfoot/heel contact to toe off.

The J-Frame technology is a key feature of the Arahi 7, ensuring a smooth and stable ride. It works by using a firmer density foam on the medial side of the shoe, guiding the foot through its natural gait cycle and minimising pronation. Unlike traditional stability shoes that rely on rigid materials, the J-Frame provides dynamic stability without sacrificing flexibility or comfort. The mid-foot ghillies have been redesigned to maintain a secure structure.

Outersole:

The Durabrasion rubber is long-lasting, placed strategically on the outersole in the areas of high wear. The Zonal rubber increases durability of this excellent running shoe.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.

LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.

WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.

SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
