JOIN NOWDesigned for versatile terrains, this trail running shoe from Hoka One One – the Challenger ATR 6 – features an improved outsole for excellent traction. Hoka have focused on the environment this time; 70% of the new upper is made from recycled plastic.
The Challenger ATR 6 faces only cosmetic changes on the upper and outsole; it keeps the best of its predecessor such as double the amount of cushioning, the early stage Meta-Rocker and the 4mm deep grip for all-terrain traction. The midsole packed with Hoka's One One signature CMEVA foam offers you lightweight cushioning and absorbs the impact from hard surfaces. The shoe geometries include a 5mm offset (the difference between the heel and the forefoot) and the Meta-Rocker to encourage a smooth foot-strike to toe-off transition.
The lugs on the outer sole are denser in comparison with the previous version to improve traction on multiple terrains ,as they are placed only in the hardwearing areas. The low wearing areas in the middle of the outersole are covered with lightweight material to keep the weight of these shoes low.
The upper of this latest version has been made from UNIFI REPREVE yarn, made from recycled plastic. In this way Hoka One One supports the sustainability of our environment.
“Built by runners for runners”, Hoka running shoes elevate your potential on the trail, on the road and everywhere in between. Founded in 2009 by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard, Hoka is a Maori word meaning ‘to fly over the earth’. When you’ve felt the Hoka difference, you’ll know just what they mean…
Hoka is committed to maximum cushioning when running, while maintaining lightness and springiness. This winning combination has led them to wide popularity.
Their shoes are engineered to deliver improved breathability and comfort, while facilitating a smooth running gait with the early-stage Meta-Rocker.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
