This premium neutral road running shoe from British brand Hylo Athletics, the Impact, is packed with various technologies to provide you with superior comfort. The knitted upper, crafted from 100% bio-based nylon derived from castor beans, features a DWR coating for water repellency. It is also breathable and lightweight. The gusseted tongue, moulded heel counter and lace closure hold your feet securely for enhanced comfort.
The laces feature a ribbed structure designed to enhance strength and reduce slippage. They are crafted from 100% bio-based Tencel™ Lyocell and have a width of 6mm.
The midsole is packed with different technologies. The supercritical nitrogen-injected midsole foam, combined with bio-EVA, gives a lightweight yet cushioned feel for premium comfort, rebound and to absorb the impact from running. The HyperBolt™ technology focuses on energy return and responsiveness. The PureGlide™ geometry optimises the midsole's proportions to provide a smooth transition. Additionally, the medial side wall is designed to improve stability, helping guide your gait encouraging a neutral stride.
The outsole design, drawing inspiration from Formula 1 tires, showcases innovative features aimed at enhancing performance in wet conditions. The unique tread pattern is engineered to effectively displace water, ensuring maximum traction and stability. The strategic cutouts between the rubber pods not only minimise weight but also enhance ground contact when the surface is slippery, providing better grip and control.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.
LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.
SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
