Description
Janji's Atlas Pants are loose-fitting trousers that taper at the bottom and have long zips making them quick to get on and off. These lightweight pants are breathable, light, fast-drying and have lots of pockets – ideal for all-day adventures or your running commute. They are water-repellent, thanks to the outer coating, plus super-stretchy for maximum comfort.
Details
The new Atlas fabric has a PFC-free C0 DWR finish for high-performing, long-lasting water repellency and faster drying times. The PFC-free C0 DWR is made without short-chain PFCs, or perfluorinated chemistry also known as PFAS, which are part of a family of forever chemicals that have been used to create DWR finishes for decades, but can wash off of garments and remain in our watersheds for hundreds of years.
Janji has transitioned completely to using PFC-free C0 water repellency as part of their sustainable initiatives – still prioritising long-lasting protection without releasing harmful substances into the environment. Janji has been 100% PFAS-free across thier apparel and accessories production as of January 2023.
Atlas fabric is bluesign® certified, meaning it is free from harmful chemicals and is fabricated in a way that meets a high environmental standard.

More About Janji
Janji was founded over 10 years ago by two college track mates (Dave & Mike) in the city of Boston. Their aim was to create a brand that had a purpose beyond high-performance gear and actually used running as a mechanism to give back to communities. That's where the name 'Janji' originated from – it means ‘promise’ in Indonesian. Their promise was to expand access to clean water around the globe.
Each season is inspired by a location. They then also partner with a water charity in that location and donate 2% of every sale to support their clean water projects. Sustainability of the brand is a key pillar in how Janji was founded. All of their materials are either Bluesign Certified, OKEO-Tex certified or both. More and more of their products each season are being developed using recycled fabrics. Their DWR finish is now completely PFC-free, while still maintaining the same 30k waterproof rating.
