The Janji Zephyrunner Wind Shell Jacket is made from a hyperlight and durable nylon shell with windproof and water-resistant qualities. The garment also features a unique venting system on the back panel, which helps to keep you cool and comfortable during any activity. One of the key features is its packability. It can be easily stowed into its own chest pocket, making it convenient to carry in a backpack or bag. You can also adjust certain features, such as a bungee hem and hood toggle, to allow for a customisable fit. This is especially beneficial in windy conditions as it helps reduce exposure to the elements and maintain warmth. For added safety, the jacket features signature reflective logos, which improve visibility in low light conditions.
Janji was founded over 10 years ago by two college track mates (Dave & Mike) in the city of Boston. Their aim was to create a brand that had a purpose beyond high-performance gear and actually used running as a mechanism to give back to communities. That's where the name 'Janji' originated from – it means ‘promise’ in Indonesian. Their promise was to expand access to clean water around the globe.
Each season is inspired by a location. They then also partner with a water charity in that location and donate 2% of every sale to support their clean water projects. Sustainability of the brand is a key pillar in how Janji was founded. All of their materials are either Bluesign Certified, OKEO-Tex certified or both. More and more of their products each season are being developed using recycled fabrics. Their DWR finish is now completely PFC-free, while still maintaining the same 30k waterproof rating.
