As the world’s first hydrogel sports drink fuelling the likes of Sir Mo Farah and Eliude Kipchoge, Maurten delivers a carbohydrate and electrolyte mix in preparation for, during and just after exercise. As the world’s first sports drink to utilise hydrogel technology, Maurten Drink Mix 160 delivers 40 grams of carbohydrates and salts to your intestines without causing irritation, so you can train and race free from discomfort. The formula contains only five natural ingredients and is taste, colour and preservative free, and each sachet makes up 500ml of solution.
Drink Mix 160 is ideal for running, cycling and any other moderate exertion levels.
The 5 ingredients are: Maltodextrin, Fructose, Pectin, Sodium Alginate (from seaweed) and Sodium Chloride (Salt) – nothing more and nothing less than what’s needed.
Both Drink Mixes (160 and 320) are built on hydrogel technology. When mixed with water, you get a sports drink that contains a high concentration of Maltodextrin and Fructose. The Maurten sports drink instantly converts to hydrogel when it comes into contact with the acidity of the stomach. This hydrogel then enables a smooth transit of the drink through the stomach to the intestine where the water, salt and carbohydrates can be absorbed.
Suitable for Vegetarians, Vegans and is Gluten Free.
