Description

The super popular Air-Lite cap from Ronhill features a split peak design for ease of storage. The split is not noticeable while running, it keeps its shape and has a nice round shape to it. It comes in two sizes to ensure a perfect fit and features reflective detailing on the front and back for added visibility. Fantastic cap with a lightweight, breathable design and comfy soft feel. Now made from recycled polyester fabrics, offering the same feel as ever!

Details

The recycled polyester fabrics Ronhill use are derived from post-consumer waste. This includes well known items such as plastic bottles.

These waste materials are collected by local recycling programs and taken to recycling facilities where they are sorted into bales based upon the material type.

Ronhill can then manufacture t-shirts and other clothing items. The process is shown below:

Process from bale to yarns:

Used bottle bale - Flakes - De-polymerization, Re-polymerization - Recycled chips - Yarn production - Fabric

  • Super lightweight and breathable
  • Split peak for minimum and quick storage
  • Excellent moisture management
  • Velcro adjustable strap
  • Reflective detailing on the front and back of the cap
  • Made of recycled polyester fabric
  • Fibre content: main body: 84% recycled polyester, 16% elastane, contrast panels: 88% recycled polyester, 12% elastane
  • Weight: 47g
  • Sizes: S/M, M/L
  • Ronhill is part of Fair Wear Foundation
More About Ronhill

Ronhill is famous in the UK thanks to its founder – Dr Ron Hill MBE. In September 1970, five months after becoming the first Briton to win the Boston Marathon in a record time of 2:10:30, he decided to produce kit that kept him winning. Dr Ron gained a PhD in Textile Chemistry from the University of Manchester. Through alchemy and his art as a runner, he began to rethink the fly-by-night running kit of the time.

After winning the Commonwealth Games in 1970 he developed the ‘side-split short’ – which famously become the Freedom Shorts – and the Mesh Vest, both having accompanied him to his greatest victories on the road. Since then, Ronhill has been accompanying countless British runners, helping them to achieve their goals.
