Saucony Guide 16 Wide

Men's Stability Running Shoes

£130 £99 (Save 23%)
Description

Saucony’s Guide 16 Wide presents the perfect combination of comfort and stability to offer runners with broad feet an effortless ride. A PWRRUN midsole promotes plenty of spring and cushioning. A firmer density medial post on the inside supports your arch and counters inward rotation. An increased amount of recycled and bio-based materials have been used to craft this latest edition, underlining Saucony's priority of supporting our planet.

Details

New for the Guide 16 is an improved engineered mesh upper which adapts to the shape of the foot for a comfortable hold. The extra loops on the medial and lateral side connected to the midsole offer your feet more support in the upper. The technical mesh upper is engineered from mostly recycled materials to keep your feet breathable.

The PWRRUN foam delivers excellent, bouncy cushioning. It also absorbs the impact from running on hard surfaces to keep you in soft step-in comfort.

The HOLLOW-TECH Guidance Frame support in the midfoot area for extra anti-pronation control works together with the internal reinforced collar in the heel to slow down the rate of your pronation.

Saucony is one of the leading brands in supporting the environment by using recycled and bio-based materials in their products. Each new edition of their high-tech running trainer contains more recycled plastic and bio based substances to help our planet.

More About Saucony

Saucony was founded way back in 1898. Since then, they have been loyal to running, continuing to innovate and renew themselves, and to incorporate more sustainable running gear into their range. By 2024 their goal is to use no virgin plastic, and by 2030 to be 100% circular.

Behind their “Run for Good” logo hides a passion for creating the best footwear, while still maintaining their distinguished designs. These are characterised by a use of colour and not being afraid to break the mould.

In their effort to support sustainability, many of their popular running shoes have started using 100% recycled uppers, like their Saucony Endorphin Collection, Triumph, Omni, Kinvara or Excursion. We are excited to see that their road and trail running shoes are moving in the right direction.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.

LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.

WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.

SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
