£170 £136 (Save 20%)
Description

Our most sustainable road running shoe, Saucony Triumph RFG is made from renewable resources to lessen the impact on our planet. This high tech neutral trainer gives you the great assets of Triumph 21: maximum level cushioning; plush upper for ultimate comfort, but with a more ecologically sound approach. With Triumph RFG, Saucony is looking to the future and furthering their sustainability goals.

Details

Saucony Triumph RFG (run for good) is the most ecological running shoe in our range. It is based on the popular Triumph 21, offers equivalent levels of comfort and performance, but packaged in a more environmentally friendly form.

The plant-based dyes on the upper, 55% of PWRRUN BIO+ midsole and 80% natural rubber on the outsole, all come from renewable resource to limit the use of plastic and lessen the impact on the environment at the end of the shoe's lifespan. This shoe is as durable and high performing as any other in Saucony’s range, so it’s a win-win.

The PWRRUN BIO+ midsole is super soft, designed to provide you with ultimate step-in comfort and absorb the impact from running on hard surfaces. Built on a 10mm offset to ensure a smooth ride. Its bio-based component is corn (55%).

The breathable upper is shaped precisely to hold your feet in secure comfort. Its soft, padded tongue and heel collar give a plush feel. The plant based dyes have been used in production to decrease the impact on our environment.

The environmentally friendly rubber on the outsole (80%) is resilient. Placed in areas of high use for durability and ground contact.

  • PWRRUN BIO+ midsole, 55% from a renewable resource (corn)
  • Plant-based dyes used on the upper
  • Technical upper keeps your feet breathable
  • Soft Sockliner is made from PWRRUN BIO+ foam
  • 80% of outsole is made from natural rubber which evolves in appearance over time
  • Offset: 10mm (heel: 37mm, forefoot: 27mm)
  • Weight: 295g
More About Saucony

Saucony was founded way back in 1898. Since then, they have been loyal to running, continuing to innovate and renew themselves, and to incorporate more sustainable running gear into their range. By 2024 their goal is to use no virgin plastic, and by 2030 to be 100% circular.

Behind their “Run for Good” logo hides a passion for creating the best footwear, while still maintaining their distinguished designs. These are characterised by a use of colour and not being afraid to break the mould.

In their effort to support sustainability, many of their popular running shoes have started using 100% recycled uppers, like their Saucony Endorphin Collection, Triumph, Omni, Kinvara or Excursion. We are excited to see that their road and trail running shoes are moving in the right direction.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR RUNNING SHOES
Your running shoe size will generally be 1 to 1.5 sizes bigger than your regular (‘dress’) shoe size. Bear in mind also that one foot can be slightly bigger than the other.

LENGTH
First, kick your foot back into the heel of each shoe before checking how much space is left at the front. When standing in each shoe with your full weight on the foot, it’s best to have between half and a full thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.

WIDTH
When standing in the shoe, it’s best to have a little wiggle room for the toes, but the back of heel should still feel nicely secure.

SPIKES
Sprint spikes are best when a close fit. Distance spikes best when up to a half a thumb's width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
