This is a friendly and diverse running club, very welcoming and with a good structure to offer support to runners of all levels and abilities. If you're looking to reach a new level or new distance, or just some encouragement and company in your running then this is a great club. Whilst the club is not strictly geared up for absolute beginners, they do work with some Run England sessions, so you can start there and then move into the club proper.
East End Road Runners (EERR) are a friendly, all-level running club based in Newham, East London, the host borough for the majority of the London Olympic Games in 2012.
If you are a keen runner, have been thinking about improving your fitness, or even if you are a total beginner, we have a great team of runners of all abilities for you to join.
Our members participate in events ranging from 5K to Ultramarathon & Ironman Triathlons.
The mix of our growing membership reflects our location and work in the UK's most ethnically diverse community.
Although all abilities are welcome, we suggest that any individuals who are completely new to running will benefit the most if they first try Run England which caters specially for new runners.
As a club we support several Run England sessions. We currently have three coaches and ten leaders. We also were instrumental in setting up a local Parkrun - Wanstead Flats.
East End Road Runners are a founding member of the award winning Newham Athletics Network. The club is the proud recipient of the England Athletics London Development Club of the Year 2011.
