Adidas' premium sprinting track spike. Created for acceleration with a new light Celermesh upper and a special spike plate – maximising speed and stride turnover.
I currently alternate between this pair of spikes and Adidas Sprintstar – which are very lightweight and responsive on the track. However, I think the Adizero Finesse may top this. They feel amazing around the bend and I felt less energy loss when I was giving high levels of force in training. They are perfect for the longer sessions which consist of constant running.
I’m glad to say that there was no aching under the arch and my feet did not feel suffocated around the top of the spike. They felt very secure and helped me really push off during explosive sprint training.
It is not the most narrow fitting shoe so it can be worn by a larger audience. This Adidas spike does have a bit of structure particuarly around the midfoot – reassuring me that there will be no movement when I am running.
This is a perfect intermediate spike for those who want to take sprinting to the next level – can be used for training and competition season. It's very comfortable and lightweight on the track – and you're no doubt on the road to a season full of PBs!
