I’ve never had On running shoes previously, having held presumptions about them. These were all proven wrong by my trial of the On CloudSurfer Next. They may carry less-dense cushioning in parallel to the current trend, but I felt that this is precisely the feature which makes the On range stand out.
The CloudSurfer Next offered me a balance between a soft landing, and feeling lightweight and responsive. On shorter, tempo runs I felt a spring in my step with this pair, almost as if I were training to race. Despite being neutral, they were stable and held firm around my foot, allowing flexible but structured running movement.
I would recommend the On CloudSurfer Next to those wanting a less bulky, more responsive shoe to train in regularly. The streamlined design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, and will motivate you towards more get-up-and-go runs!
