Recovery slides engineered to promote efficient recovery on rest days. These slides combine comfort with science, for the treatment or prevention of common running injuries.
Recovery slides are a fairly new phenomenon and prior to this experiment, I hadn’t tried a pair on before. Not knowing what to expect with the OOFOS slides, I first wore them around the flat after a particularly challenging run. Fortunately, with the support of the soft and secure footbed, I noticed a difference in the level of soreness I was feeling throughout my feet the longer I wore them. The pressure eased off a lot quicker than usual, almost as if after a sports massage. Now, I wear only the OOFOS slides when at home or in the office, as well as short trips outside. Traditional slides no longer compare!
If there is anyone looking to find comfort in shoes other than their trusted running trainers, the OOFOS OOahh slides are a safe bet for daily wear. The incorporation of closed-cell foam alongside the dynamic geometric design makes these slides ideal for faster recovery from all types of exercise. Runners struggling with common issues the likes of Plantar Fasciitis, Stress Fractures and Extensor Tendonitis, may particularly benefit from the impact absorption properties of OOFOS.
Review: Sidas Gel Toe Cap & Wrap
A simple, soft, stretchy gel wrap that pops over your toe and can be pulled down the toe to protect against caluses or blisters, or eased up to cover the toe nail and prevent black toenails.
Review: Trigger Point MBX Massage Ball
This massage ball is constructed with layers of foam – soft enough for sore muscles. There is a better performance when it is used on hard surfaces.
Review: Feetures Elite Light Cushion Socks
Feetures socks are incredibly supportive and always stay in place. They come in various colours and offer a superb quality feel for the feet.
Review: Compeed Blister Pads
Used for long distances to avoid blisters between toes – great with minimalist/barefoot shoes to allow a natural spread of toes. The Silitene material is cool to the touch and thin enough not to intrude or make your shoe feel tighter.
