In Testing
It proved highly effective during my long runs in the increasingly cold weather – both in terms of keeping me dry and comfortable. I was on the market to find a jacket that didn't make the rustling noise during movement. I think I've found it! The stretch fabric allows a great range of movement, ideal on technical climbs and challenging trails.
It worked similarly in both city streets and countryside hills, with the reflective detailing allowing freedom of movement without worries of visibility. The pockets on either side are a great size, and easily managed to keep my phone and keys safe!
Weather protection held up very well during a rather showery weekend in the Lake District, very grateful I had packed this jacket. With only a light baselayer underneath and this jacket on top, it was enough to keep out the chill and retain the warmth. The strong waterproofing with effective wind resistance worked it's magic up in the mountains.
Verdict
The newest season of the OMM Kamleika jacket lives up to expectations, a top choice for trail runners, hikers and fast-packers who prioritise flexibility. The price aptly reflects the extensive features. Excelling in comfort and performance on technical trails. Worth every penny.
