In Testing

The Ride 17 is yet another one of Saucony’s classic shoes that seem never to falter with what they are expected to provide. On my trial runs with the Ride, I hardly felt like I was wearing it, with how minimal yet supportive it was underfoot. I will undoubtedly be making use of this trainer for shorter distances and tempo runs, as the removal of excess cushioning makes it feel more responsive.

Verdict

Saucony’s Ride 17 is a respectable upgrade from its previous seasons, offering a lighter running experience. Improvements to its upper and midsole have resulted in a more breathable and plusher trainer, ideal for daily training – whether running or walking around the city.
